A little about me… I’m 25 year old woman living in the city where the stars at night shine big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas. As a genZ born in 2000 with two older sisters I was able to get a taste of the culture of the late 90’s and of course the early Y2K. I’m the last generation to grow up without iphones, tiktok, and social media. I watched the world change from riding bikes, catching the latest music videos playing on MTV, and reading about my favorite celebrity’s dating rumors on teen pop magazines to- tiktoks, only fans, and those shitty social networks like Twitter (I refuse to call it X). Social media has infected my generation and many generations to come. everything is oversaturated and underwhelming. How do we women stand a chance? Dating has become dull, not only from the lack of mystery but also from the easy access to porn, only fans, and the low vibrational activity of swiping on dating apps. Women aren’t people. We are on display like mannequins, in a catalog arranged from thinnest to fattest, we are a subscription for pleasure. How do we bring back intimacy, romance, and mystery? Is it too late?
